The Pavilion, KL
Paupau and I were kind of free yesterday night. So I suggested we go to this newly opened mall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s shopping district. It’s located at Jalan Bukit Bintang to be exact, directly opposite J.W. Marriott.
First impression, this mall is really ahead of others around in terms of experience. It’s spacious and open. It’s certainly not the biggest around but it’s still quite huge. It’s a totally different kind of concept. You would notice a lot of multi-storey shop lots, with in-built escalators.
The lowest floor and the 6th floor are more for dining. Sandwiched between are all for shopping from branded clothes to branded watches. It you are looking for goods at bargaining price, go to Tesco.
I was totally lost when looking at all the brands. Paupau were happily telling me where each of these brand originated and explaining to me what they are famous for.
I have no idea she knows so much about these imported brands. Must the huge piles of magazine lying beside her side of the bed. No wonder she said she wanted to go shopping in the US one day.
I would recommend you pay a visit some day, but not now. There are some 20-30% of shops still not open yet. One more thing, the parking fees here is ridiculously expensive. It costs us RM10 for the duration of less than 2 hours there.
Apparently, it’s RM10 per entry after 7pm on Saturday. Before 7pm, I think the first hour is RM3.50, subsequently RM2 per hour.
